"The sound'a rollin' dice
To me is music in the air,
'Cuz I'm a gamblin' Boogie Man
Although I don't play fair."
~ "Oogie Boogie Song", Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas"

Happy birthday, ! Told you I had the perfect present.
Yeah, Moonshadow's having her birthday party today, and I unfortunately couldn't be there due to transportation problems. So I decided to put my time into making her a present.
Moonshadow is completely obsessed with Duke Devlin from Yu-Gi-Oh, and she also loves Oogie Boogie. (Sorry, hun. I was gonna draw Duke, but you know how I am about humans. XD) Pretty much any gambling character, she loves them. ^^' She collects dice and her favorite card is the Ace of Spades. And she's obsessed with black and purple. Hence where the pic came from.
I'm VERY pleased with how this turned out. I used real dice as references for the ones in the pic (the big ones, anyways. The one's he's holding are kind of just quick cubes, but whatever. ^^'). I also used a reference for what Oogie's dice looked like. And I used cards as a ref. (Yes I used YOUR cards, Shadow. Lol)
As for Oogie, I've never drawn him. At all ^^' Not even a doodle, unless you count carving his silhoutte in a pumpkin for Halloween last year, but I had a guide for that. Lol. Anyways, I'm really happy with how he turned out. I used no references whatsoever, just drew him from memory. The only thing I couldn't do was his feet, hence why he has none here. XD
But yeah, lot of time into this. The sketches probably took me an hour and a half, because I kept screwing up on the dice. And then I got up at 8:30 and only just finished now at 12:10. So, about five hours of work. I made two sketches, one with the larger cards and dice, and one with Oogie. I colored them both seperately, then added the dice and cards into the Oogie picture later. O.o But it was totally worth it, because I love it ^^ Hope you do too, Shadow!
Please, please PLEASE do not use this for anything without my permission, I worked too hard on it to have it stolen. Thank you.
And I want to thank for making her Oogie Boogie Dice, because I used them as a reference for the dice in this pic. XD
And this pic is also going under number 50 of the challenge - "Breaking the Rules", because I'm lazy and use any excuse to use something for it. Lol
